Ovens are an important appliance for any kitchen… Regardless of whether you are a “cooking or baking connoisseur” you can’t get very far (or have much variety in your diet) without an oven installed. They are essential!
With the vast amounts of brands and new technology features with appliances these days, it can be difficult to understand what they all mean and which brand is the best with reasonable prices. A lot of variables come in to play when considering new appliances. Things like personal requirements, space available and any other beneficial features to you and your family should all be considered based around your lifestyle and cooking habits.
Ovens often range anywhere between $900 – $5,000 and upwards! (Depending on the brand you choose)
But which are the best and most reasonably priced ovens that you should consider for your kitchen? Let’s take a look at the options!
Evaluate the Options Available
Firstly, you should consider the two most common variants of ovens available. They are single and double ovens. Later, we’ll take a look at ranges where the cooktop is integrated to the design.
Single overs are fantastic if space isn’t on your side or if you only tend to cook for one or two people at a time or don’t spend too long cooking. Single ovens tend to be 24 inches high so can easily be installed at eye level or under the countertop. However, you won’t be able to cook and use the grill at the same time.
Double ovens on the other hand, is the better option should you enjoy cooking, have a large family or entertain often. There are also two options available with double ovens: the double built-in models or the smaller double models that comes with different range ovens. If you choose the range oven option, remember that the smaller of the two ovens may be on the very small size so always check the product specifications carefully.
There are also smart ovens on the market now that have wi-fi or Bluetooth features. These features enable you to connect the oven to your smartphone and control it remotely. Imagine turning the oven on when you leave work so it’s all heated up and ready to go when you get home… This is the future of cooking!
Previously I have mentioned range. These are great for those who need an oven with an integrated cooktop. These are available as single ovens or double, however the double will have a much smaller oven than that of some built-in options. A lot of homeowners are used to using gas for their range but electric ones are becoming more popular this year because of their sleek design!
